What does it mean to Remember?

We understand that everyone grieves in their own way, at their own pace. Our Grief & Bereavement Programs offer ongoing support, counselling‌ and education to help navigate this lifelong journey. We are here to listen, support‌ and guide you as you honour the memories of your loved ones and find healing in your grief.

With +15 years in bereavement support, our team of social workers, counsellors, child and youth workers, and specially trained volunteers are here to help you heal. From group support to one-to-one counselling, we can find something that works for you.

Teamwork

Grief is not a “one size fits all” process, and we understand that. Our care team works collaboratively with you to ensure we meet your needs.

Common Questions

You are not alone. We understand that everyone experiences grief differently. That is why we offer support groups tailored to providing comfort and understanding. We have a variety of programs to help you and your family navigate this process.

While we do not actually move on from the death of a loved one, there are ways to make it easier. Taking care of your physical, social, and emotional well-being, embracing your feelings‌ and finding ways to honour and remember your loved one are all great places to start. If you need more information, try reading through our resources on grief and bereavement below.

We have many programs specifically for children, from specialized one-to-one counselling to different kinds of activity-based programs. We also run Camp Keaton, a weekend-long summer camp program made for grieving children aged 7-17.  At Camp Keaton, youth can learn how to deal with their feelings and make connections with others who have been through similar situations.

Our grief support covers all losses for anyone in our community. Many of the grief groups are loss-type specific enabling you to meet others who have similar experiences. Our no-cost one-to-one counselling and group support is open to everyone.
