“IF YOU CAN SEE YOUR PATH LAID OUT IN FRONT OF YOU STEP BY STEP, YOU KNOW IT’S NOT YOUR PATH. YOUR OWN PATH YOU MAKE WITH EVERY STEP YOU TAKE. THAT’S WHY IT’S YOUR PATH.’ JOSEPH CAMPBELL
Join the supportive care team this summer as we ‘Brave the wilderness’ together through our monthly hikes. Navigating our grief can feel as if we are stranded in the wilderness, feeling alone without a path to guide us. We are excited to offer this program, knowing the deep healing that can come from being in nature together. As we hike, there will be opportunities to share details about your own losses, and learn about the season of grief and how this is naturally reflected in the world around us. You will have the chance to connect with the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice Supportive Care Team, and also with each other in peer-to-peer conversation. This hike is designed for any adult who has experienced the loss of a loved one.
This group will only run if we can safely gather in person, pending COVID- 19 restrictions determined by Public Health. RSVP is mandatory to ensure that reservation can be made with the local Conservation Authority.
Braving the Wilderness will take place at different Conservation Areas in Hamilton from 9:30 am – 11:30 am on the following dates:
